Christmas 2008 With My Family In Dryden NY

Annie, the best dog in the world, and me.
I hope you enjoy a peek at some of the people
and gatherings that shape and inspire my work.

Christmas Morning

Mom puts out the sweet rolls made by my brother Abe and
his family. They started their own baking tradition that we
enjoy on Christmas morning.

Sometimes it feels like musical chairs.

Clean Up and Catch Up

Like my Maryhill Clayworks pottery , it is all done
by hand and takes the right amount of time.

Some of my new ornaments. There will be more
additions for next season

Family Fun

Some of us can sing, but many pretend.

Reggie entertains the kids.

My niece Chi-Chi with her boyfriend WWE wrestler
Kofi Kingston and my wonderful sister Kay.

Time To Dine

Three of my 23 nieces

The future farmer has a good appetite.

Bruno and Amy get the girls smiling.

Around The Table

My nephew John Schickel gets to know his new cousin Emily,

and his brother Reggie bonds with his new aunt Amy Dickinson.
Amy's new book, The Mighty Queens of Freeville, comes out in
February. It's very funny!

My beautiful niece Chi-Chi and Kofi Kingston

Christmas Plum Pudding

This tradition was started by my grandmother Pauline Cockrell.
The plum pudding is being flambeed but the flash from the camera
obliterated the flames.

I hope that 2009 brings you many blessings.
